Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب البر والصلة باب ما جاء فى المراء

حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّىُّ الْبَصْرِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى فُدَيْكٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِى سَلَمَةُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ اللَّيْثِىُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَنْ تَرَكَ الْكَذِبَ وَهُوَ بَاطِلٌ بُنِىَ لَهُ فِى رَبَضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَهُوَ مُحِقٌّ بُنِىَ لَهُ فِى وَسَطِهَا وَمَنْ حَسَّنَ خُلُقَهُ بُنِىَ لَهُ فِى أَعْلاَهَا. وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "Whoever abandons lying, which is falsehood, will be built a palace in the lowest part of Paradise. And whoever abandons arguing, even if he (1) is right, will be built a palace in its middle part. And whoever improves his manners, will be built a palace in its highest part.” 1.
